Senior Fashion Designer & Textile Surface Development Lead

Local2Global Mart Private Limited invites applications for a Senior Fashion Designer & Textile Surface Development Lead for its women-led garment manufacturing project at Naya Gaon, Phalodi District, Rajasthan.

After two years of dedicated groundwork, we have established a rural manufacturing facility to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women and connect their products with national and international markets.

We seek an experienced, creative and socially committed professional with expertise in fashion design, hand embroidery, textile printing, surface ornamentation and commercial product development.

Position Details

Location: Naya Gaon, Phalodi District, Rajasthan

Employment: Full-Time, Project-Based

Work Mode: On-site/Field-Based

Key Responsibilities

• Develop commercially viable garment and lifestyle collections
• Design uniforms, sportswear, customized apparel, bags and merchandise
• Combine contemporary fashion with traditional hand embroidery
• Develop embroidery motifs, print layouts, colours and surface designs
• Work with screen, block, sublimation, DTF and digital printing
• Prepare sketches, tech packs, measurements and production guidelines
• Select appropriate fabrics, threads, trims and embellishments
• Develop samples for institutional, B2B, domestic and export markets
• Train rural women in embroidery, stitching, finishing and quality
• Standardize sampling, sizing, printing and production processes
• Coordinate with production, merchandising and quality teams
• Ensure commercial viability, quality and timely delivery

Candidate Profile

• Degree/diploma in Fashion, Textile or Apparel Design
• Relevant garment, textile or handicraft industry experience
• Strong knowledge of embroidery, printing and surface ornamentation
• Understanding of fabrics, patterns, construction and production
• Knowledge of screen printing, sublimation, DTF, digital or block printing
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar software
• Experience in sampling, costing and production coordination
• Ability to train and mentor rural women artisans
• Willingness to work at the Phalodi project location
• Experience in uniforms, sportswear, bags or export products is preferred
