Job summary

Ornate Windows is looking for a Facade Designer to develop detailed facade concepts for residential and commercial projects in Mumbai. Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of facade design for residential and commercial buildings.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting shop drawings for facade, cladding, and glazing systems.
• Experience with cladding materials and systems, including detailing and installation considerations.
• Understanding of glazing systems and integration with window and facade assemblies.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to use CAD or BIM tools for drafting and coordination (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with building codes, facade performance standards, and safety regulations is an advantage.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with architects, engineers, and project managers, and selecting appropriate materials and systems for cladding and glazing solutions. The role involves refining design details for uPVC and aluminum window systems, resolving technical issues on projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety guidelines. The Facade Designer will also support site teams with design clarifications and participate in design reviews to optimize performance, aesthetics, and cost efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
