Job summary

Egis is seeking a Facade / BIM Designer to develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models and façade design for building envelope projects in Mumbai. The role combines façade design with advanced BIM modelling to deliver accurate, coordinated deliverables through the project lifecycle.

The candidate will create façade BIM models, prepare detailed documentation, coordinate information across disciplines, and ensure compliance with BEP and client standards, while supporting BIM process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Architecture or related engineering field.
• 4–8 years of BIM modelling, façade design, or building envelope work.
• Experience delivering BIM-enabled projects in architecture or façade consultancy.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino/SketchUp and BIM workflows.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and resolve clashes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D BIM models for façade and building envelope projects using Revit.
• Create façade design packages, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate BIM data with architectural, structural, MEP teams and consultants.
• Ensure deliverables meet BEP standards, client requirements and project schedules.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, model reviews, and QA processes.

Job Description

We are seeking a Façade / BIM Designer is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) and façade design documentation for building envelope projects. The role combines façade design expertise with advanced BIM modelling capabilities to deliver accurate, coordinated, and high-quality project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will create and maintain façade BIM models, prepare detailed design documentation, coordinate multidisciplinary project information, support BIM implementation strategies, and ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and BIM execution plans.

BIM Modelling & Coordination

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed 3D BIM models for façade and building envelope projects using Revit.
• Create façade models, assemblies, parametric families, schedules, and project‑specific BIM content.
• Prepare and maintain Levels of Information (LOI), project parameters, and data‑rich BIM models.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines.
• Identify, resolve, and communicate design clashes and coordination issues using BIM workflows.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, workshops, and model reviews.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of BIM processes, standards, and workflows.
• Maintain and enhance Revit family libraries, templates, and BIM standards.

Façade Design & Documentation

• Produce detailed façade system designs based on architectural sketches and design intent.
• Develop façade tender documentation and detailed façade packages using Revit.
• Prepare façade shop drawings, installation drawings, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Develop 3D design details using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp Pro, and SolidWorks.
• Support façade design development from concept through construction stages.
• Review and evaluate design documentation for constructability, compliance, and technical accuracy.
• Assist in preparing presentation drawings, visualizations, and design reports.
• Review contractor submissions and shop drawings.

Project Management & Delivery

• Ensure timely delivery of BIM and façade design outputs in accordance with project programs and budgets.
• Coordinate project information with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential risks and delivery issues.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and schedule management.
• Assist management in proposal preparation, project pursuits, and fee submissions.
• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining profitability and technical excellence.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, specialist suppliers, and clients to achieve coordinated design solutions.
• Attend client meetings, design workshops, BIM coordination sessions, and technical reviews.
• Understand stakeholder requirements and contribute to delivering innovative and practical façade solutions.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Contribute to client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities through quality service delivery.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure BIM models and project documentation meet quality, technical, and contractual requirements.
• Follow company BIM standards, drawing protocols, naming conventions, and document control procedures.
• Support implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of project revisions and model changes.
• Identify and resolve design documentation and BIM quality issues.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay current with emerging BIM technologies, software developments, and digital engineering trends.
• Support the development of BIM standards, workflows, templates, and best practices.
• Recommend innovative tools and technologies that improve project delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4-8 years of experience in BIM modelling, façade design, architectural documentation, or building envelope projects.
• Experience in delivering BIM-enabled projects within consulting engineering, architecture, façade consultancy, or construction environments.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, mixed‑use, hospitality, healthcare, or aviation projects.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models and project documentation.
