EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) in India, Bengaluru, invites you to join EY-P Strategy & Execution as a Manager. You’ll lead and manage high‑impact M&A integration and separation engagements, Day 1 readiness, TSA planning, and standalone costing, coordinating with onshore teams and global EY colleagues.

GDS EY-P – Strategy & Execution (S&E) - Deal Management – Manager - India

EY-P S&E Deal Management team services clients with a full range of hands‑on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve‑out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day‑one readiness assessment, 100day planning, integration process support, carve‑out/stand‑alone costs assessment and risks, and cost reduction activities

The opportunity

We’re looking for Managers with 8 to 10 years of experience in M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post‑announcement of transaction, cross‑border M&A, with a deep understanding of the industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, TMT, CPR, Industrials and Energy. As a Manager in Deal Management practice, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing high‑impact projects

Your Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with onshore teams to define project scope, establish work plans, and align requirements to ensure timely delivery and achievement of project objectives
• Lead day‑to‑day management and execution of separation and integration engagements, including key workstreams such as Day 1 readiness, operating model design, TSA planning and exit, synergy capture, standalone costing, and project governance
• Manage project engagement teams supporting transaction strategy and execution, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and alignment with client expectations
• Oversee and guide junior team members, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support career development through coaching and mentorship
• Take ownership of team performance, providing structured mentorship and guidance to ensure delivery excellence
• Co‑lead business development efforts, identify opportunities for engagement expansion, support proposal development, and contribute to business growth by preparing client‑ready presentations and assisting in pursuits
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and resolving project challenges and streamlining integration/separation processes
• Conduct in‑depth research and analysis on industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive positioning to inform transaction strategy
• Collaborate with global EY teams and demonstrate understanding of regional practices to deliver seamless cross‑border transaction support
• Ensure high client satisfaction through effective engagement management and proactive communication with stakeholders

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Good understanding of M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post‑announcement of transaction, cross‑border M&A
• Ability to leverage AI‑enabled tools for deal execution, including automated data analysis, synergy modeling, document review (VDAs, diligence materials), risk identification, deal PMO tracking, and insight generation; comfort using GenAI for executive‑ready storytelling, scenario analysis, and productivity acceleration while adhering to EY risk, data privacy, and quality standards
• Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong executive presence with good networking and negotiation skills
• People Management, Team handling and set up governance around project planning activities
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of analytical tools such as PowerBI, Smartsheets, Power Query, Alteryx, Macros would be preferred

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Post Graduate degree in business, engineering, from a premier institute with 8‑10 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience
• Understanding of M&A life cycle, integration and separation of a business post‑announcement of transaction, cross‑border M&A
• Well versed with MS Excel, PowerPoint and understanding of GenAI/AI capabilities
• Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement
