EY‑Parthenon Strategy and Transactions (SaT) Manager – Commercial Due Diligence
We are looking for a Manager with expertise in Strategy Consulting & Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) to join the leadership group of our EY‑Parthenon team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.
Your key responsibilities
- Use an answer‑first approach to deliver commercial due diligence growth, market entry strategy engagements, business plan assessment, strategic growth plan and portfolio optimization.
- Demonstrate expertise in CDDs and/or strategy & operations within target industries TMT (software, telecom, IT services, consumer internet, etc.).
- Collaborate with and lead case teams to provide solutions to unstructured problems; experienced in problem‑solving and discovering new approaches to complex business questions.
- Support business development activities by both leading pursuits and strengthening long‑standing relationships with EY‑Parthenon clients.
- Review transaction rationale to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction.
- Lead a team of 2–3 professionals undertaking commercial due diligence studies.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual capital in your industry of expertise.
- Contribute toward building a sector‑focused practice across GDS SaT – deep understanding of the TMT sector is required.
- Participate in/managing firm‑building responsibilities like hiring, training and counselling.
- Have experience working with global stakeholders and team members.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- CDD and strategy consulting experience with competitive firms such as the Big 4, MBB and boutique consulting firms.
- Experience delivering engagements in the TMT sector, preferably from a commercial due diligence and strategic growth plan perspective.
- Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, points of view, products, markets, trends, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
- Structured thought process and proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment.
- 8+ years of work experience in CDDs and strategy projects.
- Knowledge of databases such as CapIQ, Thomson etc.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; exposure to tools like Power BI, Alteryx, working knowledge of VBA; Python is a plus.
- A Master’s degree from tier 1 or tier 2 colleges preferred.
- Strong people‑management skills.
