Job summary

EY is seeking incumbents for the FAAS team to ensure timely and high-quality financial reporting and GAAP conversions in line with project requirements. Ideal candidates have CA/ACCA/CPA credentials with 2–5 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of accounting standards, policy manuals, and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• CA, ACCA (UK) or CPA credential is required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP frameworks (UK/US) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering financial accounting and reporting engagements and GAAP conversions.
• Provide guidance on accounting changes (IFRS adoption, revenue recognition) and draft accounting policies.
• Understand reporting requirements for allocated countries (focus on UK-based clients).
• Coordinate with managers and seniors, supervise and review team deliverables.
• Ensure timely client service by directing daily fieldwork and communicating engagement status.
• Help allocate resources and manage tasks to meet deliverables and quality standards.

Job description

The Opportunity

Were looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of financial reporting activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in Managing engagement delivery Financial Accounting and Reporting and GAAP conversions.


• Assistance in providing advice and assisting client team in accounting change (First time IFRS adoption, revenue recognition), accounting policy manuals and technical accounting memorandums


• Understanding of the reporting requirements relevant to the countries allocated (specific focus on UK based companies), as allocated to your team


• Receive direction from the Manager and Senior Manager


• Maintain effective coordination with multiple stakeholders. Be compatible with business accounting teams and internal partners to resolve issues


• Detailed review of the work performed by the team members


• Review of metrics reporting for significant processes


• Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status


• Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports


• Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situation


• Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.


• Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

• Technical accounting advisory on complex topics (e.g. business combinations, consolidation, debt/equity etc.)

To qualify for the role, you must have

• CA, ACCA (UK), or CPA
