Job summary

Biopharma Careers seeks a hands-on Empower CDS administrator to lead global setup and implementation across multiple laboratory sites. The role requires collaboration with Lab IT, infrastructure, Waters/vendor teams, and site stakeholders to ensure standardized, compliant Empower environments.

You will configure projects, users, roles, and security; support CDS infrastructure, LACE, SDMS/LIMS integrations, and system validations, while ensuring adherence to GxP and regulatory requirements.

Your Role:

The candidate will be responsible for the global setup, configuration, implementation, and operational support of Waters Empower CDS/GCDS across multiple laboratory sites. The role requires close collaboration with global business teams, Lab IT, infrastructure teams, Waters/vendor teams, and local site stakeholders to ensure standardized, compliant, secure, and stable Empower environments.

• Perform global Empower CDS/GCDS setup and configuration across multiple sites.
• Configure Empower projects, systems, users, roles, privileges, and security settings.
• Support Empower Enterprise/Network architecture, database and application components.
• Knowledge of Empower security, user management, projects, systems, privileges, and administration.
• Experience with LACE configuration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of CDS infrastructure, databases, application servers, and network dependencies.
• Experience supporting GxP / regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience with integrations involving SDMS, LIMS, instruments, and other laboratory systems.
• Manage global templates, standards, configuration baselines, and site‑specific requirements.
• Support LACE configuration and integration with Empower environments where applicable.
• Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for Empower application and configuration issues.
• Coordinate with Waters/vendor teams for complex technical issues and product‑related problems.
• Support new site deployments, migrations, upgrades, and system validations.
• Ensure configurations follow global standards, GxP requirements, and applicable compliance procedures.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration documents, and knowledge articles.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Participate in implementation projects and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Support system performance, stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You are:

6 –10+ years of hands‑on experience in Empower CDS administration, global setup, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support.

• Perform global Empower CDS/GCDS setup and configuration across multiple sites.
• Configure Empower projects, systems, users, roles, privileges, and security settings.
• Support Empower Enterprise/Network architecture, database and application components.
• Knowledge of Empower security, user management, projects, systems, privileges, and administration.
