Job summary

Organo Eco Habitats is seeking a hands-on landscaping supervisor to lead the community grounds team. Responsibilities include supervising crew, training staff on horticulture techniques and safety, and coordinating with nurseries and contractors for upkeep of villa plots and common areas.

You will monitor plant health, schedule irrigation and seasonal plantings, ensure quality control, and assist with budget preparation and reporting to the Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weeding of all common areas, villa plots, and pathways.
• Coordinate vendor & contract activities with nurseries, pest control companies, and contractors.
• Assist with budgeting and tracking expenses for plants, fertilizers, tools, equipment, and labor.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE usage across the team.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports to Facility/Property Manager.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate landscaping crew (gardeners, laborers, irrigation technicians)
• Train staff on proper horticulture techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols

Grounds Maintenance Oversight

• Oversee mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weeding of all common areas, villa plots, and pathways
• Ensure seasonal planting, mulching, and soil amendment programs are executed on schedule
• Monitor health of trees, shrubs, turf, and ornamental plants; arrange treatment for pest/disease issues

Irrigation & Water Management

• Supervise operation and maintenance of irrigation/sprinkler systems
• Schedule watering programs to optimize water usage and plant health
• Coordinate repairs of drip lines, sprinkler heads, and timers

Quality Control

• Conduct daily/weekly inspections of all landscaped areas within the community
• Ensure standards match the villa community's aesthetic requirements and HOA/management guidelines
• Document and report deficiencies and follow through on corrective action

Vendor & Contract Management

• Liaise with nurseries, pest control companies, and specialty contractors
• Obtain quotes, raise purchase orders, and track landscaping consumables/inventory
• Verify work quality of external contractors before sign-off

Budget & Reporting

• Assist property management in preparing landscaping budgets
• Track expenses for plants, fertilizers, tools, equipment, and labor
• Submit regular maintenance reports to the Facility/Property Manager

Resident & Stakeholder Communication

• Address resident complaints or special requests related to gardens and green areas promptly
• Coordinate with civil/maintenance teams for work that affects landscaped zones (construction, utility work)
• Participate in community meetings when landscaping plans or upgrades are discussed

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safe use and storage of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers per local regulations
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce PPE usage among the team
• Maintain equipment service logs and ensure machinery is in safe working order

Project Coordination

• Plan and execute seasonal landscape enhancements, theme plantings, or beautification drives
• Coordinate new villa handover landscaping setup and ongoing villa garden maintenance
