Job summary

abc India – Italian multinational organization is seeking a creative Graphic Designer with a strong understanding of makeup, color cosmetics, and beauty product design. The role requires excellent graphic design skills and hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create premium visuals for makeup products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Applied Arts, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in graphic design
• Mandatory proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other relevant graphic design applications.
• Practical experience in cosmetic packaging design, product artwork, branding, or beauty-related creative projects will be highly preferred.
• Good understanding of makeup products, beauty aesthetics, color theory, typography, and packaging layouts.

Responsibilities

• Graphic Design & Creative Development: Create high-quality graphic designs and visual concepts for color cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products.
• Cosmetic Packaging & Product Design: Design packaging artwork for cosmetic products, including cartons, labels, tubes, bottles, jars, lipstick cases, and other beauty packaging.
• Adobe Illustrator & Design Tools: Demonstrate strong hands-on proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, which is mandatory.
• Makeup & Beauty Product Visualization: Understand makeup aesthetics, cosmetic product categories, beauty trends, and color combinations.

The ideal candidate should have excellent graphic design skills, hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator and other professional design tools, and the ability to create attractive, premium-quality visuals for makeup and beauty products.

The candidate should understand beauty aesthetics, color combinations, packaging design, typography, and current cosmetics industry trends. Experience in designing cosmetic packaging, makeup product concepts, product labels, and marketing creatives will be highly preferred.

This role requires a creative professional who can transform product concepts and brand requirements into visually appealing designs while maintaining brand identity, product positioning, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Graphic Design & Creative Development

• Create high-quality graphic designs and visual concepts for color cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products.
• Develop creative artwork for makeup products, including lipsticks, foundations, compact powders, concealers, blushes, eyeshadows, and other beauty products.
• Design product visuals, promotional materials, marketing creatives, brochures, catalogues, and presentations.
• Create innovative concepts that align with brand guidelines, target audiences, and current beauty industry trends.
• Develop attractive product mock-ups, visual compositions, and creative layouts for product launches and marketing campaigns.

2. Cosmetic Packaging & Product Design

• Design packaging artwork for cosmetic products, including cartons, labels, tubes, bottles, jars, lipstick cases, and other beauty packaging.
• Prepare print-ready artwork, dielines, layouts, and production files according to technical specifications.
• Work on typography, color palettes, graphics, patterns, and visual elements suitable for premium beauty products.
• Ensure packaging designs are visually attractive, practical, and consistent with brand identity.
• Coordinate with packaging, production, and product development teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Make revisions based on internal feedback, customer requirements, and production constraints.

3. Adobe Illustrator & Design Tools

• Demonstrate strong hands-on proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, which is mandatory.
• Use Adobe Photoshop and other relevant graphic design tools for image editing, retouching, artwork development, and visual presentation.
• Create vector illustrations, product graphics, packaging layouts, and detailed design elements.
• Prepare high-resolution artwork and production-ready files for printing and digital applications.
• Maintain organized design files and ensure accuracy across multiple design versions.

4. Makeup & Beauty Product Visualization

• Understand makeup aesthetics, cosmetic product categories, beauty trends, and color combinations.
• Develop creative visuals that effectively communicate product features, shades, textures, and positioning.
• Work on shade cards, color palettes, product illustrations, and visual concepts for makeup collections.
• Create designs that reflect different beauty segments, including premium, luxury, professional, and mass-market cosmetics.
• Support the development of new product concepts by translating briefs into compelling visual designs.

5. Collaboration & Project Management

• Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, R&D, and New Product Development (NPD) teams.
• Understand creative briefs and convert business requirements into effective design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining design quality.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions within agreed timelines.
