Job summary

Hexaware Technologies is seeking a data testing specialist with hands-on Snowflake data testing experience, advanced SQL, and expertise in source-to-target reconciliation, data processing and business-rule validation. The role involves end-to-end pipeline testing across source, staging and target layers, including Azure Data Factory integration.

You'll translate business requirements into test scenarios, perform SIT and regression testing, and collaborate using Azure DevOps for defect

Qualifications

• Hands-on Snowflake data testing with advanced SQL for reconciliation and validation.
• Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and SCD Type 2 logic.
• Experience testing end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience validating downstream reporting such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into test scenarios and perform SIT, integration and regression testing.
• Use Azure DevOps for test and defect management.
• Develop automated data-testing/regression frameworks and CI/CD quality gates.
• Test Azure/cloud data platforms and data migrations.
• Assess performance and volume testing for Snowflake queries.

Role & responsibilities

Technical -

1. 1. hands-on Snowflake data testing experience, with advanced SQL skills for source-to-target reconciliation data-processing and business-rule validation
2. 2. data profiling and defect investigation.
3. 3. Proven experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental loads, SCD Type 2 logic and data quality across source, staging and target layers.
4. 4. Good understanding of Snowflake tables, views, tasks and stored procedures, with experience in end-to-end data pipeline testing, preferably using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Functional

1. 1. Ability to translate business requirements, HLD/LLD and source-to-target mappings into effective test scenarios, maintain traceability, and perform SIT, integration and regression testing.
2. 2. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience using Azure DevOps for test and defect management.

Secondary skills:

1. 3. Experience with automated data-testing/regression frameworks and CI/CD quality gates.
2. 4. Experience testing Azure/cloud data platforms and data migrations.
3. 5. Performance and volume-testing experience for data workloads and Snowflake queries.
4. 6. Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment.
5. 7. Awareness of data governance, security/access controls, disaster recovery and operational-resilience testing considerations.
6. 8. Experience validating downstream reporting/consumption layers such as Power BI.
