Job summary

Crum & Forster Services India Private Limited is seeking a passionate ETL Developer to work on our Snowflake implementation project. You will develop robust ETL/ELT solutions using dbt, Snowflake, and Python to move data from multiple sources into our data warehouse.

You will collaborate with business analysts and data architects, design and optimize ETL pipelines, document data mappings and lineage, and ensure data quality for reliable reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ETL development experience using dbt, SSIS or similar tool.
• 3+ years of database development with SQL Server, Oracle or similar RDBMS.
• 2+ years of Python experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL, query optimization and data management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Design, develop, test, optimize and troubleshoot ETL/ELT solutions using Python and DBT.

C&F is looking for a passionate ETL Developer for our Snowflake implementation project, with experience using dbt (Data Build Tool), Snowflake and Python. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust ETL/ELT solutions to extract, transform and load data from various source systems into a Snowflake data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
• Design, develop, document, test, optimize and troubleshoot ETL/ELT solutions using Python and DBT
• Enhance existing code by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas of modification and improvement
• Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability
• Develop and maintain ETL documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings, and data lineage
• Perform data profiling and data quality analysis to ensure that ETL processes are accurate and reliable
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues and errors
• Develop and maintain data integration and data transformation best practices and standards
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ETL technologies and tools

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration solutions using dbt, SSIS or any other ETL/ELT tool
• 3+ years of database development experience using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or any other RDBMS
• 2+ years of Python experience
• Strong knowledge of SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL, Query Optimization, and data management skills
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git or stash
• Experience in Data warehouse development; Logical and Physical Database design & development
• Experience with BI tools such as SSRS/SSAS or Tableau would be a plus
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think outside of the box and propose innovative solutions
• Experience with any cloud data warehouse would be plus
• Experience with Snowflake data warehouse would be a big plus
• Experience with dbt would be a big plus
• Experience working in an agile environment would be a plus
• Work experience related to the Insurance vertical would be a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
