Job summary

EY in India is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise software deployments across on-prem and cloud platforms leveraging Microsoft technologies. You will lead delivery on complex projects, automate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, compliant DevOps practices.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, implement IaC with Terraform/ARM/Bicep, and manage Azure resources while continuously improving deployment quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Pipelines, Repos and Boards.
• CI/CD implementation and automation experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

ET - Senior DevOps Engineer

The opportunity

The selected candidate will:

• Have strong design and hands on development experience on enterprise software applications for both on prem and cloud using primarily Microsoft technologies.
• Leads the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for a large or more complex project, using advanced technical capabilities.
• Takes accountability for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of solutions or infrastructure, driving compliance with and contributing to the development of relevant standards.
• Fully understands business and user requirements and ensures design specifications meet the requirements from a business and technical perspective.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and automate platform solutions to meet and exceed expectations of Product Manager
• Proactively evolve and apply DevSecOps methodologies, standards and leading practices
• Apply modern development standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, security standards, usability design standards, as appropriate.
• Ensure quality through use of manual and automated controls
• Identify, communicate and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout full lifecycle
• Using critical thinking, consider the art of the possible, compare various options based on feasibility and impact, propose impactful plans and roadmaps that balance tactical and strategic needs
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, networking, storage, and compute services.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment and release processes.
• Implement and maintain source control and branching strategies using Git.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are followed throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance-related issues.
• Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Maintain technical documentation and promote DevOps best practices across teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, and Azure Boards.
• Experience in CI/CD implementation and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
