Job summary

EY India is seeking a DevOps Engineer I (Senior Associate) to join our dynamic technology team. You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and collaborate with product teams to streamline deployment and release processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, pipelines, repos and boards.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and automation.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, ARM or Bicep.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

The opportunity

The selected candidate will:

• Delivers solution or infrastructure development services for a small to medium sized project, using strong technical capabilities.
• Designs, develops and maintains solutions or infrastructure, ensuring team compliance with the relevant standards.
• Works with users to capture requirements and peer reviews design specifications.

Your key responsibilities

• Engineer and automate platform solutions to meet and exceed expectations of Product Manager
• Proactively evolve and apply DevSecOps methodologies, standards and leading practices
• Ensure re-use through consumption and expansion of shared platform technology assets
• Apply modern development standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, security standards, usability design standards, as appropriate.
• Ensure quality through use of manual and automated controls
• Provide training and support for platform/product operations
• Using critical thinking, consider the art of the possible, compare various options based on feasibility and impact, propose measurable plans and roadmaps that balance tactical and strategic needs

Skills and attributes for success

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, networking, storage, and compute services.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment and release processes.
• Implement and maintain source control and branching strategies using Git.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are followed throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance-related issues.
• Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Maintain technical documentation and promote DevOps best practices across teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, and Azure Boards.
• Experience in CI/CD implementation and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilitieEncourage DevSecOps teams by building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary
• Demonstrate excellent engineering & automation skills in the context of cloud based global platform/product delivery using continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
• Demonstrate ability to learn new and emerging technologies which define engineering standards and produce automation code
• Operational abilities including early life support and driving root cause analysis and remediation
