Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking Erection Engineers/Supervisors to oversee structural erection activities at their site. The ideal candidates will have a diploma/ITI in Mechanical or Structural and 2–4 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, supervising fabrication, coordinating manpower, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining erection logs. Strong leadership and technical skills in structural steel erection are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in structural erection.
• 2–4 years of experience in structural erection.
• Hands-on experience with erection of structural steel and lifting tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret erection drawings, GA drawings, and isometrics.
• Supervise fabrication fit-up, bolting, and welding at site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and allocate manpower for smooth progress.
• Ensure alignment, leveling, and proper torque tightening.
• Raise inspection calls for client/third-party inspections.
• Maintain daily erection log and report to Site In-Charge.
• Ensure use of correct tools, tackles, and lifting procedures.
• Follow all site safety protocols and stop unsafe acts.

Skills

Hands-on experience in erection of structural steel

Ability to lead workmen and subcontract teams

Role Overview
