Job summary

CDM Smith India Global Resource Center is seeking a Process Task Lead or Primary Process Engineer to work on water and wastewater treatment plant planning, design and construction. You will coordinate with teams in India and the United States across disciplines.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of experience, strong communication, leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff on international projects.

Responsibilities

• Design development of new drinking water treatment plants and upgrades.
• Membrane technology design including Reverse Osmosis for water projects.
• Detailed engineering for Zero Liquid Discharge and micropollutant treatment plants.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; mentor and develop them.
• QA/QC of key deliverables and review junior staff work.
• Participate in new business development via technical approach and effort estimates.

Job Description

As a member of our India Global Resource Center, you would contribute to CDM Smith's vision by serving as Process Task Lead or Primary Process Engineer on a multitude of projects focused on water and wastewater treatment plant planning, design, and construction. This role will include coordination with team members of various engineering disciplines in our local offices as well as offices across the United States.

• Experience with design development of new drinking water treatment plants, upgrading existing facilities, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Membrane technology design experience including Reverse Osmosis on international/national water treatment plant projects.
• Design and detailed engineering experience on Zero liquid discharge plants and micropollutant treatment plants is preferable.
• Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.
• Completing Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables and review of more junior staff work product.
• Participate or assist in new business development by contributing to technical approach and level of effort development

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
