Torrent Power Limited is seeking a seasoned Environmental Compliance Specialist to lead EC/CTE/CTO compliance across power and infrastructure sites in India. You will manage CEMS/CAAQMS operations, ensure regulatory reporting, and drive ISO 14001 and IMS integration while coordinating with CPCB/SPCB and MoEF&CC.

• Strong report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
• Good stakeholder management and regulatory liaison experience.

Responsabilités

• Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits.
• Develop environmental procedures and SOPs.
• Manage Fly Ash Utilization per MoEF&CC guidelines.
• Ensure Hazardous Waste Management compliance.
• Implement E-Waste Management practices.
• Monitor wastewater treatment and effluent management systems.
• Support Sustainability reporting and KPI tracking.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, labs, NGOs.
• Assist sites in closing environmental observations.
• Provide environmental guidance to projects.
• Review monitoring reports and support amendments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Environmental Clearance (EC), Consent to Establish (CTE), and Consent to Operate (CTO) conditions.
• Coordinate with CPCB, SPCB, MoEF&CC and other regulatory authorities.
• Monitor compliance requirements and prepare statutory submissions.
• Maintain records of legal and environmental obligations.
• Manage operation and compliance of CEMS and CAAQMS systems.
• Monitor air, water, noise, and soil quality parameters.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual environmental reports.
• Analyse monitoring data and generate MIS reports for management review.
• Implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Ensure integration with IMS (Integrated Management System).
• Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits.
• Develop environmental procedures, manuals, and SOPs.
• Manage Fly Ash Utilization as per MoEF&CC guidelines.
• Ensure Hazardous Waste Management compliance.
• Implement E-Waste Management practices.
• Monitor wastewater treatment and effluent management systems.
• Support Sustainability, ESG and Corporate Environmental Reporting.
• Collect and validate environmental performance data from project sites.
• Assist in preparation of sustainability reports and audit documentation.
• Track environmental KPIs and improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with Pollution Control Boards, Government Authorities, Consultants, Laboratories, NGOs, and Contractors.
• Support site teams in closure of environmental compliance observations.
• Conduct environmental awareness and training programs.
• Provide environmental compliance guidance to operating and upcoming projects.
• Review environmental monitoring reports from sites.
• Support environmental clearance amendments and consent renewals.
• Assist in implementation of new environmental regulations.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of Environmental Clearance (EC), CTE, CTO compliance.
• Hands-on experience in CEMS, CAAQMS, CETP, and online monitoring systems.
• Understanding of CPCB/SPCB reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of Fly Ash Utilization Rules and Hazardous Waste Rules.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and Integrated Management Systems.

Experience:

• 8- 13 Years in Thermal Power Plants, Coal Mining, Cement, Steel, Process Industry, or Large Infrastructure Projects.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering
• M.E./M Tech in Environmental Engineering (Preferred)
• B.Sc./M.Sc. Environment Science may also be considered
• Relevant certifications in ISO 14001, EMS, Sustainability, or Environmental Compliance will be an added advantage
