Job summary

bareinsights is seeking a founding-level Enterprise Platform Engineer to architect and deliver core governance, security, observability, and extensibility for AI agent ecosystems. You will build multi-tenant, scalable platform primitives and a secure integration gateway in production environments.

You will enable enterprise-scale deployment, automate deployment pipelines, and shape product direction in an early-stage engineering team with a strong emphasis on design reviews and trade-offs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in backend/platform engineering with 5+ years building production infra.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
• Hands-on with at least one cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaC tools.
• Designing distributed, multi-tenant platform systems with high availability.
• Experience with enterprise auth systems (OAuth2, SAML, SSO) and service-to-service auth.
• Experience building integrations to third‑party SaaS apps and public APIs, incl. retries and rate limiting.
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and defining SLOs/SLIs.

About the Role

This is a founding-level Enterprise Platform Engineer role at a fast-growing AI developer tools company building infrastructure that enables AI agents to work across hundreds of production-grade applications. Youll architect and deliver the core systems — governance, security, observability, and extensibility — that allow enterprises to deploy and manage AI agents at scale. The work you do here will define how mission-critical, enterprise-wide automation is built.

What Youll Do

• Define governance, observability, and control planes for enterprise AI agent ecosystems.

• Build a secure, reliable integration gateway connecting AI agents to external systems and APIs.

• Develop platform primitives including multi-tenancy, isolation, and extensibility for enterprise scale.

• Architect the platform with first-class deployment flexibility, security, and compliance capabilities.

• Transform enterprise onboarding from a services model into a repeatable, self-serve product experience.

What Were Looking For

• 7+ years in backend or platform engineering, with 5+ years specifically building and maintaining production infrastructure systems.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.

• Hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).

• Proven experience designing distributed, multi-tenant platform systems with high availability and scalability.

• Practical experience with enterprise-grade auth systems (OAuth2, SAML, SSO, service accounts) and secure service-to-service authentication.

• Experience building integrations and connectors to third-party SaaS applications and public APIs, including retries, rate limiting, and error handling.

• Hands-on experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and defining SLOs/SLIs for platform reliability.

• Strong CI/CD and GitOps practices with experience building automated deployment pipelines.

• Familiarity with enterprise compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and GDPR.

• Hands-on experience with AI products, agent architectures, or MCP is a strong plus.

• Experience in early-stage or founding engineering teams, contributing to product and technical direction.

• Strong system design skills — able to lead design reviews, write clear design docs, and make confident trade-off decisions.

• Strong CS fundamentals; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 – $105,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already hold the right to work in India.
