The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of IT consulting or architecture experience, strong APR and cloud expertise (Azure, AWS), and proven stakeholder leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in IT consulting, enterprise architecture or application modernization.
• Strong APR methodologies and enterprise architecture design experience.
• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) with migration and modernization toolsets.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills.
• TOGAF certification is preferred.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with C-suite executives including CIOs, CTOs, Architects, and other senior technology leaders to align enterprise architecture initiatives with business objectives.
• Lead comprehensive Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR) processes to identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and cost reduction across enterprise applications.
• Conduct thorough application discovery and cloud readiness assessments to evaluate legacy systems and recommend modernization roadmaps leveraging cloud‑native architectures.
• Drive in‑depth application assessments to formulate precise Retain, Retire, Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, and Replace (6 R’s) strategies that optimize technology investments while reducing technical debt.
• Manage and secure key cloud funding programs such as Microsoft Moonshot, Azure funding, AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), and AWS Workload Assessment and Licensing Tool (WALT) to enhance project viability and resource allocation.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams including infrastructure, security, development, and business units to ensure modernization efforts meet enterprise standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide thought leadership in cloud adoption strategies, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Mentor and coach junior architects and consultants, fostering professional growth and strengthening the technology services team’s capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings over 12 to 15 years of demonstrated expertise in IT consulting, enterprise architecture, or application modernization, with a proven track record in driving complex cloud transformation programs across diverse industries.

• Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in:
  • Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR) methodologies and frameworks to optimize software investments.
  • Enterprise Architecture design principles and frameworks aligned with business strategies.
  • Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including migration and modernization toolsets.
  • Developing and executing cloud migration plans focused on reducing technical debt and improving operational efficiency.
  • Application assessment techniques emphasizing scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Exceptional customer‑facing consulting skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, adept at fostering trust and collaboration across multiple organizational levels.
• Preferred certifications include:
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification as a validation of enterprise architecture proficiency.
• Demonstrated competency in being respectful, proactive communication, stewardship of resources, responsiveness to client needs, and building lasting trust within teams and clients.
