Role Description

The English PRT Teacher is responsible for teaching English to primary school students in alignment with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to support individual learning needs. The teacher will design age-appropriate activities that build reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, while fostering creativity and critical thinking. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining classroom discipline, preparing teaching materials, coordinating with other teachers, communicating with parents or guardians, and participating in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.



Qualifications


  • Strong command of English language, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

  • Ability to plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate lessons, with skills in classroom management and student engagement.

  • Skills in student assessment, record-keeping, and providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work with students, colleagues, and families.

  • Competence in using basic educational technology and digital tools for teaching and learning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; a B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification is preferred.

  • Prior experience teaching English at the primary level or in a similar school environment is highly beneficial.

  • Commitment to child-centered, value-based education and willingness to participate in co-curricular and school development activities.
