Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Private Limited seeks an Engineering Support professional to manage and support Aruba lab environments. The role requires strong networking knowledge, lab operations discipline, and the ability to work in shifts as needed.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in networking (CCNA/JNCIA/ACA preferred), a Bachelor’s or Diploma, and excellent communication. Onsite work from an HPE office in India is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognized university.
• 3+ years of experience in networking domain (CCNA / JNCIA / ACA preferred).
• Strong technical skills across a wide range of network areas including HPE Aruba products.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management and support for the HPE (Aruba) lab environments.
• Adhere to lab operational guidelines and document assets and processes.
• Maintain lab equipment in working condition and manage lab backups.
• Process RMA for faulty hardware and perform routine lab maintenance.
• Assist in planning future lab growth and discuss best practices with teams.

Job Description:

HPE Networking is a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. Helping some the largest companies in the world modernize their networks to meet the demands of a digital future, Aruba is redefining the “Intelligent Edge” – and creating new customer experiences across intelligent spaces and digital workspaces. Provide day-to-day management and support for the HPE (Aruba) support labs. The candidate must be methodical, systematic, self-motivating and be willing to learn new technologies and techniques in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. He or she must also be a strong team player, and deal well with prioritizing tasks under short time constraint and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work in multiple shifts, weekends, holidays and be on call to support critical situations and to carry out certain system maintenance/installations outside of general business hours as required.

What you'll do:

• Support lab requirements of end users (TAC & other BU’s) as needed
• Adhere to lab operational guidelines
• Ensure lab assets and processes are managed and documented
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained in operational condition and kept in a professional state
• Process RMA for faulty hardware
• Perform maintenance on lab tools (access to databases, backups, customizations)
• Advise on new tools / technologies and help implement
• Monitor lab environment, cooling, power etc.
• Managing relationships with other groups and departments
• Help plan future lab growth requirements
• Participating in meetings with the teams involved to workout best practice working with the lab infrastructure
• Take responsibility to make sure the lab resources are well shared and keep cost under control
• Workout best practices on backup lab systems and lab service in line with department guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged sitting or standing at desk or work area (inside lab or store), frequent moving of materials between racks or stores, racking and unmounting of equipment from racks etc.

What you need to bring:

• Management of network environments and operations in fast paced environment.
• Strong technical skills across a wide range of network areas, including HPE (Aruba) network products & services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to priorities and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to carry all tasks to completion in a thorough and timely manner (Meet SLAs)
• Ability to effectively delegate work where appropriate.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with 3rd party vendors.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Must function effectively and cheerfully under deadline pressures.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognized university

Work Experience:

3+ years of experience in networking domain CCNA / JNCIA / ACA is preferred
