Job summary

Valeo in Chennai seeks a Mechanical Engineer for Materials discipline to lead and execute material analysis tasks in collaboration with our France lab. You will select labs, prepare samples, perform polishing, metallization, and mounting, and oversee microscopic and macroscopic inspection.

You will interpret results, propose failure mechanisms, define best practices, generate reports, and support project teams to ensure quality and innovation across Valeo's mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage material analysis tasks within projects.
• Experience coordinating lab work with international teams.
• Ability to generate and review technical analysis reports.

Responsibilities

We are leader on our businesses, and recognized as one of the largest global innovative companies.*Main responsibilities** **Technical missions*** + In relation with Laboratory in France, analyse job request and define analysis protocol + Select appropriate equipment and laboratory to perform analysis + Achieve/Manage Sample preparation: cutting, resin, polishing : down to 3μm diamond, and colloidal silica solution metallization, plasma deposition: Gold, Palladium, Carbon....
