Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Pune, India is seeking a Manager Software to lead engineering execution for Yukon, IMS, and BUC software and guide a team of full stack developers delivering enterprise solutions for utilities in on-premise and cloud environments.

The role focuses on developing effective release strategies, driving agile/Safe adoption, and hiring and developing talent to grow the organization's capabilities in Enterprise Software across multi-regional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Talent Management (Hiring, Retention, Succession Planning and talent development)
• Experience utilizing best practices in software engineering.
• Experience on agile.
• Experience in AI in SDLC
• Experience in developing complex enterprise software.
• Experience as a full stack developer in Java, C#, React, jquery.
• Strong code reviewing and debugging skills.
• Proficient understanding of Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools (Git, etc.); experience with Issue and Project Tracking software (JIRA, etc.).
• Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary and multi-regional team
• Experience with DevOps using Github CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of program management concepts
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
• Possess a good sense of diplomacy and respect for colleagues
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Engineering manager is responsible for driving product development with software engineering principles.
• Hiring and developing new talent and growing the organization's capabilities and capacity in the Enterprise Software.
• Developing and growing existing talents to further their career, scope, and influence across the company.
• Working of modernization proposal to bring business values in existing and new products.
• Works hand-in-hand with the software development teams, product managers, product owners, program managers, to stay up to date with business direction and strategy.
• Drive the adoption of agile development methodologies, SAFe, across the Utilities software

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science Engineering from accredited institution

Desired: Master's degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics & Telecomm Engineering from accredited institution

• Minimum experience of 10 years in software development.
• 1+ years of managing a team.
• 1+ years of direct experience in leading development team
