About the Role

As a CBRE Engineering Ops Manager, you will manage a team responsible for the remote BMS support to several buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and team deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Assist team with ticketing, remote support, BMS and operations issues.
• Supervise and manage the daily operation of facility controls and tickets management systems.
• Schedule remote support activities complying with customer operational requirements.
• Support operational analysis of all engineering-related performance metrics (KPIs).
• Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Apply knowledge of the business to achieve team and departmental objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may be escalated by technicians.
• Deliver your own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need

• Strong knowledge of Building Automation, BMS and HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of Tridium Niagara platform.
• Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate the team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
