As the Manager of Engineering, you will join an existing team that builds mobile apps that measures people behavior and media consumption across devices inside the home. You will bring hands-on experience to these products and work with our engineers to help foster a culture of excellence in operations, engineering, and delivery. You will lean on your engineering leadership experience to continue team development and collaboration. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end technical program management across multiple, cross-functional programs from initial conception through design and development to delivery of tested, usable prototypes.
• Work across cross-functional partners (engineering, business, and design) to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, risks, and timelines across programs.
• Proactively identify technical, procedural, legal, logistical, and communications challenges and partner with leads to drive creative solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
• Reporting business risks to senior leadership through trend analysis and data-driven reporting.
• Works independently and in a group setting, anticipates follow-up questions and responds with supporting data.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written, as you will be required to write white papers, status reports, leadership reports, and build precision decks/documentation.
• Frequent communication with program leadership to shape and deliver on the product roadmap requires a nimble switch between strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve technical and business goals.
• You will successfully deliver all projects and programs without compromising quality, budget, scope, and schedule.
• Experience with Agile process & lead cross functional scrum teams. Set team goals focusing on career development. Discuss and layout plan of action to achieve goals and expectations.
• Manage and inspire a team of talented mobile engineers focused on delivering innovative & complex digital apps that relies on low level network protocols for communication. Guide your team in tackling complex technical challenges while fostering professional growth.
• Define and prioritize the technical roadmap for the team (frontend / backend / automation / support / etc.).
• Shape the future of our codebase by building flexible, extendable, and reusable components.
• Managing & tracking cloud cost and work with global teams to keep the cloud systems in compliance.

Key Skills

• B. E/B. Tech in Computer Science or a similar engineering field.
• 8+ years of total work experience, currently working as a Delivery Lead / Technical Program Management.
• Extremely adept at stakeholder management, proactive risk analysis, and excellent negotiation skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity with ease and bring structure.
• The EM will be highly quantitative, have great judgment, be able to connect dots across work streams, identify critical program dependencies, and have a strong track record of delivery.
• The EM will have a pragmatic approach and iterative approach to building software, including the ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams.
• The EM will dive deep to understand the infrastructure, dataset dependencies for local requirements for feature/application deployments, integration testing requirements before deployment.
• Exceptional business relationship skills, including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
• A good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) models and a track record of shipping software efficiently. You recognize the difference between building software and shipping software.
• A strong track record of program delivery for large, complex, cross-functional, multi-million dollar programs with aggressive deadlines.
• Experience in leading and building high-performing teams of Frontend, backend (AWS Cloud), Automation and DevOps Engineers.
• Proven success in driving product strategy and product releases.
• Deep hands-on technical expertise and experience Mobile/Web app development (iOS & Android) are a must, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 7+ years of experience building scalable, native mobile applications using modern iOS or Android technologies, frameworks, tooling, and architecture, for example, Xcode, Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, MVVM, Xcode Cloud, Amplitude, XCTest, XCUITest, Android Studio, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and Espresso.
• Proficiency working in AWS or other cloud infrastructures like GCP or Azure. Preferably AWS.
• Solid background in network layers & protocols.
• Ability to manage the JIRA board, write stories and track team velocity & reports.
• Experience working with Ads Measurement is a plus.
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders (Director level and up), both technical and non-technical.
