Impelsys is seeking an Engineering Lead in Bengaluru to guide the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native applications and data platforms. You will provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and drive engineering best practices across product, architecture, and business teams.

You will oversee architecture, performance, security, and CI/CD, while promoting Agile/Kanban delivery and stakeholder collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions.

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands‑on Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native applications and data platforms. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, drive engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
• Drive technical decisions, solution design, and engineering best practices including code reviews, design reviews, and CI/CD.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Drive Agile/Kanban delivery, backlog prioritization, risk management, and timely project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, React.js, and modern software architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, Glue, EMR, SNS, SQS, EventBridge).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redshift, MongoDB, and SQL.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading Agile/Kanban teams and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
