Job summary

WSP India is seeking a structural engineer to join a collaborative team working on diverse building projects. You will design structures, perform analyses, and ensure compliance with American codes while coordinating with WSP USA teams.

The role requires 4–8 years of relevant experience in RCC and post-tensioned structures, with a degree in civil engineering. Fluency in English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of building structures, including post-tensioned and reinforced concrete (RCC) systems and steel structures.
• Strong knowledge of American codes of practice and US construction methodology.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
• 4–8 years of relevant structural engineering experience, preferably RCC and post-tensioned structures.
• B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech preferred.
• Desirable to have or be progressing towards PE license or Chartered Engineer status.

Key Competencies / Skills

• The applicant must have proven experience in the design of building structures, including expertise in post-tensioned and reinforced concrete (RCC) systems & Steel Structures, with substantial experience in a similar role or a demonstrated strong track record.

• Good understanding and working knowledge on American codes of practice and US construction methodology.

• Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.

• High degree of self-motivation

• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision.

• Conversant with engineering softwares like SAFE, ADAPT BUILDER, RAM CONCEPT, ETABS, SP Column, RAM SS.

• Conversant with basic modeling in AutoCAD and Revit Structures

• Must be fluent in English

• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the structural engineering discipline, ideally in RCC and post-tensioned structures.

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering

• Preferably M.Tech. in Structural Engineering.

• It is desirable that the candidate has obtained or initiated the process towards obtaining Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in any of the US states or British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
