Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad seeks a Staff Engineer in Software Applications Engineering. You will provide technical expertise of software systems through demonstrations, design and development of customer requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions and debugging needs. The role requires strong programming skills (C, C++, Java, Python) and experience with debugging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, CS or related field with 4+ years of Software Applications Eng/Dev experience.
• Master's degree with 3+ years of Software Applications Eng/Dev experience.
• PhD with 2+ years of Software Applications Eng/Dev experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or a closely related field.
• Experience with C and C++ programming, RTOS, OS internals, kernel programming, and UNIX/Win/Linux computing platforms.
• Experience with scripting, utilized for developing customized tools for profiling system performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with background and experience in debugging system performance issues.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, with flexibility to learn and work in new technology areas.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility with assignments and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good understanding of software environments and toolchains (specifically GNU toolchains, Git, and Gerrit).
