Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer in NPD QA for the Quality Department in Talegaon Dabhade. The role supports the development and launch of automotive components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will be involved in layout inspections, APQP and PPAP documentation, and validation activities, with strong growth opportunities in automotive quality and product development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–7 years of experience in layout inspection of plastic moulding parts and PPAP documentation.

Responsibilities

• Layout Inspection: reports results to cross-functional teams.
• Operate measurement tools with accuracy.
• Engage with customers during NPD part trials and approvals.
• Assist in APQP document preparation and maintenance.
• Contribute to PPAP file creation and submission.
• Collaborate with design, program management and manufacturing.

Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer New Product Development (NPD) QA for the Quality Department. This role plays a critical part in supporting the development and launch of new automotive components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

As a Junior Engineer, you will be actively involved in layout inspections, APQP and PPAP documentation, and validation processes. This position offers excellent growth opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in the automotive quality and product development domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout Inspection: Conduct layout inspections as per engineering drawings and report results to cross-functional teams (CFT).
• Instrumentation Proficiency: Operate and handle measurement tools like Vernier Calliper, Height Gauge, Radius Gauge, Micrometre, and VMM with accuracy.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers during NPD part trials and approvals, addressing quality-related queries.
• APQP Support: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documents.
• PPAP Documentation: Contribute to the creation and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) files.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, program management, and manufacturing teams to embed quality at the initial product stages.
• Validation Support: Coordinate with the CMM lab for dimensional and performance validation activities.
• Issue Resolution: Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Purchase) to address and resolve quality issues.
• Documentation and Communication: Support clear documentation and communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers.

Work Experience:

• Experience Required: 2 to 7 years in layout inspection of plastic moulding parts, and handling PPAP documentation

Capabilities & Desired Characteristics:

Capabilities:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical/product engineering principles
• Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering tolerances
• Understanding of quality systems and tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools and layout inspection
• Ability to work collaboratively with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams
• Exposure to customer communication in a quality or product development setting
