Job summary

Empower India is seeking an Engineer Quality to uphold high product quality through rigorous testing. The role involves developing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and 4–6 years of software testing experience, including manual/functional testing and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Must have 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
• Must have a strong QA background in manual/ functional testing.
• Should have good knowledge in SQL/Oracle queries in preparing test plan and strategy documents.
• Ability to gather and understand requirements. Good experience in writing test cases and in requirement gathering.
• Good experience in Web services testing.
• Understanding of formal software test design techniques.
• Demonstrated the ability to follow QA process and standards.
• Good experience in Functional Testing, End-to-End, Regression, and Smoke Testing tasks.
• Develop and maintain test cases and report test results.
• Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution in defect management tool.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Engineer Quality role involves ensuring the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and
analysis. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting
inspections, and identifying areas for improvement. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality
issues and ensure compliance with industry standards. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work
in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions

• Ability to quickly comprehends project goals/requirements, identify gap/omissions and testing challenges/impediments
• Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
• Exposure to Security & Performance testing is preferred.
• Hands on experience in automation, frameworks and tools.
• Ability to drive automation initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills, people management skills, with a proven ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and grow talent.
• Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
