Job summary

WSP India in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced design engineer to join our engineering consultancy team, focusing on production design and liaison with the WSP PB's Team while mentoring junior members. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality designs to schedule and standards.

You will coordinate with CAD Technicians, ensure designs are reviewed, support project submittals and NOC processes, and keep up-to-date with technical developments.

Qualifications

• M.Tech/M.E./B.Tech/B.E in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental disciplines.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in teams.
• Commercial acumen with delivery focus.
• Adaptable with willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team, taking a role in project design work, focused on production and liaison with the WSP PB's Team and mentoring and coaching junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out discipline designs to required standards and quality
• Coordinate with CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines
• Ensure that all designs are reviewed to the required standards
• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline
• Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required
• Contribute to the delivery of the BU strategy. Including supporting the companies approach to sustainability
• Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects
• Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline
• Feedback on all business development opportunities
