Job summary

Adani Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) seeks a Plant Maintenance Electrical Engineer to execute electrical maintenance on wind turbine systems, focusing on diagnostics, preventive and predictive maintenance, and safety protocol adherence.

You will document maintenance activities in SAP, participate in continuous improvement, and train junior engineers in electrical maintenance best practices. Location is Mundra, Gujarat, India.

Qualifications

• BE in Electrical Engineering (required).
• 4+ years of experience in electrical maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Document all electrical maintenance activities in SAP.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, PCCs & APFC panels, DG sets & UPS systems.
• Maintain HVAC systems including VRF/VRV units, split ACs, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to resolve electrical issues and improve reliability.

Job Purpose

The Plant Maintenance Electrical Engineer executes maintenance on electrical systems, focusing on diagnostics, preventive and predictive maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. This role documents maintenance activities in SAP, participates in continuous improvement initiatives, and supports the training of junior engineers in electrical maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.

Maintain And Troubleshoot

• HT/LT Panels, Transformers , MCCs, PCCs & APFC Panels, DG Sets & UPS Systems, Plant Lighting Networks
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of EOT Cranes, JIB Cranes, Hoists, VFDs, Control Panels and Brake Systems & Limit Switches
• Maintain HVAC systems including VRF/VRV units, Split ACs, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to reduce production losses.

Electrical Maintenance Execution

• Perform electrical maintenance tasks on production equipment, including inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, drives, control systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and power quality analyzers to assess equipment performance and identify issues.

Technical Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

• Diagnose electrical problems, using advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve complex electrical issues, enhancing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks as per the established schedule, including testing of electrical systems, cleaning of contacts, and verification of control signals.
• Participate in predictive maintenance activities, collecting data and performing analysis to forecast electrical component failures.

Compliance and Safety Adherence

• Adhere to all electrical safety protocols, including LOTO procedures, arc flash protection, and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure that all electrical maintenance work meets company and regulatory safety standards.

SAP Work Order Documentation

• Document all electrical maintenance activities in SAP, ensuring that work orders are completed accurately, and maintenance history is maintained.
• Use SAP to track electrical equipment performance, analyze trends, and support planning of future maintenance activities.

Spare Parts Management

• Assist in managing electrical spare parts, ensuring availability of critical spares and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Provide input on electrical components required for repairs and maintenance, supporting efficient spare parts management.

Technical Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain detailed records of all electrical maintenance work, including inspection findings, repair actions, and equipment performance data.
• Prepare reports on electrical maintenance activities, highlighting key repairs, equipment failures, and recommended improvements.

Continuous Improvement Participation

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on electrical maintenance procedures and suggesting enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Engage in Lean and Kaizen events, implementing changes that optimize electrical maintenance practices.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

• Engage in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of advanced electrical maintenance techniques, safety practices, and diagnostic tools.
• Support the training of junior engineers and Technician, sharing expertise in electrical systems and best maintenance practices.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with production, mechanical maintenance, and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on electrical issues and maintenance progress.
