Eaton Group in Pune is seeking a motivated mechanical/electrical design engineer for MV circuit breakers. You will design mechanisms, select sensors, and integrate control components while coordinating with PM, Field Service, and Operations teams.

You will drive subsystem design, lead testing efforts, and ensure reliable, on-time launches using DFSS techniques and Creo 7.0 with ENOVIA PLM in a collaborative, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or MSc/MTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of MV circuit breaker subsystem design experience.
• Experience with sensor integration and mechanism design.

Responsabilités

• Participate in all phases of product development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Testing, Release).
• Collaborate with PM, Field Service, Operations and other Engineering teams during development lifecycle.
• Design, development and testing of MV circuit breaker subsystems (Mechanism, VI selection, contact system).
• Design of sheet metal and plastic parts; sensor selection and integration.

What you’ll do:

We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in the domain of Medium Voltage Air Circuit Breakers and molded case circuit breaker. Design knowledge and experience in design of mechanism, Sensor selection and integration, control mechanical devices and analyzing data.

• Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Testing, and Release) following a structured engineering process to ensure quality and reliability
• Collaborate with external and internal customers, such as Product Management, Field Service, Operations and other Engineering teams during the product development life cycle
• Responsible for Design, development and testing of sub system of MV circuit breaker like Mechanism, Selection of VI, contact system etc.
• Expertise in design of sheet metal, plastic part design,different sensor selection and its integration.
• Ability to drive a technology design with a team of engineers both locally and remote
• Leverage Design for Six Sigma for reliable and on time launch of the projects

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Mtech degree in Mechanical/eletrical 3+ relevant experience.

• 3+ Yrs of experience design and development experience related to sub system like Mechanism, VI selection, Accessories etc used in products like MV circuit breaker
• A minimum 2-4 years of experience in MV circuit breaker sub system design and sensor intergation within circuit breaker and measurement.

Skills:

• Candidate should have experience in plastic and sheet metal parts.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology with examples of practical application.
• Understanding of basic mechanism and basics of MV circuit breakers
• Hands on experience in Mechanism desing .
• Hands on experience with breaker mechanical testing
• Thorough understanding of breaker mechanical characteristics
• Understanding of control wiring and components
• Design and development experience related to products like MV circuit breaker
• Knowledge in Manufacturing of sheet metal plastic parts.
• Good Knowledge of PLM like ENOVIA and modeling software Creo 7.0

Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff.
