Job summary

Bechtel India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for design, selection and engineering of Rotatory and various Package equipment for Indian and International projects. You will contribute to Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, and EPC modes of execution.

Candidates with experience in Semiconductor facilities, Battery manufacturing, and data centers will have an advantage. Willingness to travel and collaborate with global offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design/selection/engineering of Packages like cooling water systems and pumps.
• Conceptual/basic and detail engineering across EPCM/EPC modes.
• Knowledge of process licensor design requirements and construction features.
• Ability to provide data for preliminary detailing/estimation by other disciplines.
• Understand OSBL/U&O features and industry codes and standards.

Job Summary:

Design / Selection / Engineering of Rotatory and various Packages equipment. Candidate should have worked for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian and International projects.

Candidate having design and detail engineering experience in Semiconductor facility, Battery manufacturing and data center will be added advantage.

Major Responsibilities:

• Review of deliverables of Process Package
• Ensuring quality for the deliverables /work done
• Help with project / proposal activities
• Interaction with Global office / Home office (abroad), execute work on workshare mode
• Aid the project through construction and commissioning phases
• Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Licensor / Client/ PMC
• Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors
• Design, preparation of MDS/Engineering drawings, MRQs. Review of Quotes, assessing deviations,raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs
• Review of VPs
• Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies fordelivery of Equipment/Packages
• Develop / assist in documentation for progress reporting
• Implement / Capture Lesson Learnt. Active pursue of Value Engineering, design and cost optimizationprogram.
• Travel to help activities at other engineering offices, supplier’s works, construction sites

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3 -11 years of relevant work experience
• The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair forworking with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and writtenEnglish language.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Mechanical design/selection/engineering ofPackages like cooling water system including cooling towers, ANSI/ASME pumps, filters, chemical dosing skids, DG sets, Air compressor dryer packages, Nitrogen Generation Package, aux boiler packages
• Conceptual / basic, detail engineering.
• Knowledge for different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features.
• Ability to quickly provide data for carrying out preliminary detailing / estimation by Mechanical and other Engineering disciplines.
• Understand unique features of various Process units, OSBL (U&O).
• Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards.
• Familiarity with HAZOP, SIL reviews, model reviews.
• Trouble shooting, resolution of Client and site queries.
• Knowledge & assessment of Suppliers capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders including otheroffices.
• Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects.
• Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential.
