Job summary

Xylem in India is seeking a Mechanical Civil Engineer to develop STP layouts and GA drawings for civil units, and to prepare RFQs for bought-out equipment and systems such as pumps, chlorination, UV, biogas, and fire fighting systems. You will also prepare valve schedules, piping layouts, isometrics, and BOMs, and evaluate vendor quotations while coordinating with the drafting team.

• Experience in developing STP layouts and GA drawings.
• Knowledge of piping layouts, isometrics and BOMs.
• Familiarity with RFQ preparation for mechanical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop STP layouts with all auxiliary units per process requirements.
• Prepare mechanical GA drawings for civil units.
• Prepare RFQ for bought-out equipment and systems (pumps, chlorination, UV, biogas, fire systems).
• Prepare valve schedules with detailed specifications.
• Prepare piping layouts, isometrics and support drawings; compile BOMs.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and perform comparative reviews; coordinate with drafting team.
• Review and submit all engineering drawings and documents.

Job Summary: Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for Development of STP layouts with all its auxiliary units in the given plot area as per process requirements.
• Preparation of Mechanical Civil GA drawings for civil units.
• Preparation of mechanical RFQ for Boughtout equipments like Screens, Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps, Submersible pumps, Dosing pumps, Screw Pumps, Blowers, Grit separator mechanisms, Thickener mechanisms, etc.
• Preparation of mechanical RFQ for Boughtout systems like Chlorination systems, UV Systems, Scrubing systems, Biogas systems, Fire fighting systems, etc.
• Preparation of valve schedule with detail specifications.
• Preparation of Piping Layouts, isometrics & support detail drawings.
• Preparation of Piping Bill of Material (BOM) with specifications.
• Evaluation of vendor quotaions for all above boughtout equipments & systems, valves w.r.t. RFQs & tender specification.
• Preparation of comparative reviews for the vendor offers.
• Responsible for coordination with Drafting team.
• Responsible for review and submission of all engineering drawings & documents
