Job summary

Allegion is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer in Bengaluru to lead mechanical product development across plastic, sheet metal, and diecast parts. You will work in a collaborative team, applying CREO and Windchill, with strong emphasis on design validation, tolerance analysis, and integration with manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of hands-on experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive projects from initiation to production while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must be a BE/BTech in mechanical engineering at a minimum from a reputed university.
• 5- 8 years of experience in working on mechanical product development involving plastic, sheet metal and diecast components.
• Experience across all phases of new product development processes- initiation, requirements management, concepting, detailed design, verification & validation, handing over for production.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment.
• Proficient with 3D CAD software (preferably CREO) and Windchill.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Maintain close partnership with other functional departments.
• Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, DFMEA, ECN, GD&T, drawing for production, tolerance analysis, and related tools.
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
• FEA experience is a bonus.
• Problem solving skills, quick learner of processes like ECN, BOM, RFQ.
• Prioritize work, meet timelines, cost and quality targets.
• Ability to develop Innovative Ideas.

• Good working knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, DFMEA, ECN, GD&T, drawing for production, tolerance analysis, Engineering Calculations and other product development associated techniques and tools
• Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a bonus
• Knowledgeable in problem solving skills
• Quickly learn established engineering processes (like Product development process - ECN, BOM, RFQ, etc.), standards, methods and procedures needed to accomplish assigned tasks with discipline.
• Be able to prioritize work, meet agreed project timelines, cost and quality
• Ability to develop Innovative Ideas
