NETGEAR is seeking an Engineer III, System Validation Test to design and validate complex networking solutions. The role focuses on Layer 2/3 protocols, multicast optimization, and IP services across Cisco, Netgear, Juniper, and other platforms.

You will document topology and perform proactive troubleshooting with cross-functional teams. The candidate should demonstrate hands-on experience with VLANs, LACP, STP, MLAG, vPC, IGMP, PIM-SM, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, DNS/NTP/DHCP, and AAA protocols, plus

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
• Proficiency in multicast protocols and IP services.
• Experience with multiple vendor switches (Cisco, Netgear, Juniper, etc.).
• Skilled in CLI, SNMP, and UI-based configuration.
• Good understanding of PTP and AVB protocols.
• Ability to design and implement complex network topologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement network topologies based on customer requirements.
• Configure and verify Layer 2 switching features (VLAN, LACP, STP, RSTP, PVST, MSTP).
• Configure multicast optimization (MLAG, vPC, IGMP Snooping).
• Configure and manage VRRP, OSPF, BGP routing.
• Implement IGMP and PIM-SM multicast protocols.
• Manage DNS, NTP, DHCP and AAA (TACACS+, RADIUS).
• Use SNMP/CLI/UI for monitoring across vendor platforms.
• Document networks with diagrams and configuration notes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Networking QA Engineer with strong expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, multicast protocols, and advanced IP services. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience across multiple vendor switches and demonstrate proficiency in designing and implementing complex network topologies for diverse customer use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation

• Design and configure network topologies based on customer requirements and use cases.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability across wired and wireless infrastructures.

Layer 2 Switching:

• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, LACP, STP, RSTP, PVST, MSTP.
• Implement MLAG, vPC, and IGMP Snooping for redundancy and multicast optimization.

Layer 3 & Multicast Protocols:

• Configure and maintain VRRP, OSPF, BGP for routing.
• Implement multicast protocols such as IGMP and PIM-SM for efficient traffic distribution.

IP Services

• Manage DNS, NTP, DHCP services.
• Configure AAA frameworks including TACACS+ and RADIUS for secure authentication

Management s Monitoring

• Utilize SNMP for network monitoring and management.
• Work with CLI, SNMP, and UI across multiple vendor platforms.

Advanced Protocols

• Understand and configure PTP and AVB protocols (gPTP, MVRP, MSRP) for time‑sensitive networking.

Documentations Customer Interaction

• Prepare detailed network diagrams and documentation.
• Engage with customers to understand topology and use cases, providing tailored solutions.

Required Skills Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in multicast protocols and IP services.
• Experience with multiple vendor switches (Cisco, Netgear, Juniper, etc.).
• Skilled in CLI, SNMP, and UI‑based configuration.

• Ability to design and implement complex network topologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience in AV over IP environments. Familiarity with network automation tools
