Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Bengaluru seeks a firmware engineer to develop firmware for debuggers and programmers for Microchip microcontrollers. You will perform unit tests, understand device programming specifications, and add new part support to existing tools.

Qualifications

• BE or equivalent degree in Electronics or allied branches.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in firmware development.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers PIC/dsPIC/ARM/AVR.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in C and assembly programming languages.
• Hardware design knowledge and schematics understanding is a plus.
• Knowledge of any scripting language is a plus.

Requirements/Qualifications

• 1. The candidate should have a BE or equivalent degree in Electronics or allied branches
• 2. 2 to 6 years of experience in firmware development
• 3. Knowledge of micro controllers PIC/dsPIC/ARM/AVR architecture
• 4. Should have good communication skills
• 5. Good knowledge of the 'C' and assembly programming languages
• 6. Hardware design knowledge and understanding of schematics will have advantage
• 7. Knowledge of any scripting language will be plus
