Job summary

Silicon Labs Hyderabad is hiring for a WiFi DevOps role within the WiFi software organization. You will design and implement CI/CD pipelines for embedded products, automate workflows, and optimize cloud infrastructure to improve delivery speed and reliability.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive standards, reduce manual tasks, and generate telemetry for insights, while contributing to the future direction of software delivery on a global team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in both software development and DevOps practices.
• Experience in embedded software development is required.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, high level and low level (e.g., Java, C, Rust, Python, JavaScript, Groovy).
• Strong skills in system administration and scripting (Linux, Windows, Shell scripting, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Nomad or similar).
• Strong understanding of source control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices for managing source code.
• Experience working in open-source, collaborative environments (e.g., GitHub) establishing workflows for both private and public repos.
• Experience using monitoring and alerting technologies (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Grafana or similar).
• Experience using testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Robot, or similar)
• Quality tools: SonarQube

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy CI/CD pipelines tailored for embedded software products and automate DevOps tooling.
• Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define the technical vision for embedded software build and release processes in collaboration with infra and SRE.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Establish metrics and advocate software development standards for consistency and quality.
• Streamline redundant tasks and infrastructure to boost developer productivity.
• Develop analytics and telemetry solutions to drive insights and improvements.
• Collaborate to optimize cloud infrastructure and reduce operating costs.
• Use monitoring and alerting to ensure system health and performance.
• Document software processes and guidelines.

Meet the Team

As a member of Silicon Labs WiFi DevOps team you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing Silicon Labs' software delivery strategy for the Wi-Fi software organization. You will apply DevOps principles to enhance package management, develop CI/CD patterns, and optimize embedded software build and release processes. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams within the Wi-Fi software organization to ensure efficient, high-quality software delivery for both internal and external stakeholders. This hands‑on position provides significant autonomy, making it ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, ready to drive innovation and continuous improvement in embedded software development workflows. In addition, this role will drive the future direction of software delivery across a global team.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams within the Wi-Fi software organization to architect, develop, and deploy CI/CD pipelines tailored for embedded software products, and to solve their DevOps and tooling needs, including CI/CD pipelines, build system, and test infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define and implement the technical vision for embedded software build and release processes for the Wi-Fi software teams, in collaboration with infrastructure and SRE.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve efficiency and reduce manual effort in software delivery.
