Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Bengaluru invites an Engineer to join the Land development team. You will design drainage utilities, prepare briefs, and manage budgets to milestones while coordinating with teams across Canada and other regions to deliver integrated design solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in drainage and utilities, proficiency with PCSWMM/HECRAS/ICM Infoworks, and familiarity with BIM platforms. Hybrid work is offered with international relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from a reputed institute.
• 3+ years in drainage and utilities design.
• Experience with wet utilities design across multiple regions (UK, Canada, Ireland).
• Hands-on with PCSWMM, HECRAS, ICM Infoworks; familiarity with BIM platforms like Civil 3D.
• Ability to brief project teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups.

Overview

Your role

As an Engineer in the Land development team the successful candidate would have the following responsibilities:

• Undertake Design following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
• Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
• Work closely with teams in the Canada and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

About you

• Bachelor's degree/master's degree in engineering from an institute of repute.
• 3+ years of experience in the Drainage and utilities.
• Wet utilities design (storm, foul water, Potable water and TSE) for UK, Canada, Ireland and other regions.
• Experience of major Infrastructure projects at Master plan, Concept and Detailed Design stages.
• Hands on experience of various software's like PCSWMM, HECRAS, ICM Infoworks,etc. Working knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D etc
• Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team.
• Positive Attitude and eagerness to learn and use new water related design software's, tools and processes for automation and digital efficiency as per the project and business requirement.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, seniors, team members and clients.
• A team player and work in collaboration.
• Working towards chartership (PE, ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
• Able to work independently to deliver work, as well as part of a team.
• Take accountability and responsibility for work carried out by the individual or the team.
• Work well with and form relationships with others, including the client team, other disciplines, and contractors at all levels (junior – senior) inside and outside the business.
• Flexible attitude to the type of work undertaken, level of responsibility given, and work location.
• Have experience coordinating with other disciplines in multi-discipline projects.
• Strong communication skills, independent working, presenting, and influencing skills.
• Information Management platforms (ACC, BIM360, etc.).
