Job description

Role:

• The person will be responsible for managing batch material requisition, documentation and operational efficiency in the manufacturing environment.
• This role ensures that all production activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols, aiming to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

Shift Management:

• Lead and supervise all production activities during the assigned shift.
• Hands-on experience in aseptic filling operations with strong understanding of aseptic processing principles and contamination control requirements.
• Sound knowledge on operations of Vial Filling Lines / Cartridge Filling Lines or Pre-Filled Syringe (PFS) Filling Lines
• Ensure execution of manufacturing processes as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), SOPs and validated procedures.
• Monitor shift performance to achieve daily production targets and planned schedules.
• Raise material requisitions, coordinate with Stores and ensure timely availability of raw and packing materials.
• Monitor line performance to achieve targeted machine output, improve yield and minimize rejections.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and EHS departments for smooth plant operations.
• Verify line clearance and area readiness before commencement of manufacturing activities.
• Ensure compliance to cleanroom requirements, aseptic practices and contamination control strategies.

GMP & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, Data Integrity, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review daily production reports, BMRs, logbooks, and other GMP documentation.
• Ensure online BMR completion and SAP transactions are performed accurately and in real time.
• Support in QMS activities investigations, deviations, Change Controls, CAPA and market complaints.
• Support regulatory inspections, customer audits and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and safe work practices.

People Management:

• Supervise operators, technicians, and contract manpower during the shift.
• Allocate manpower based on production priorities and operational requirements.
• Conduct on-the-job training and skill development of production personnel.
• Monitor discipline, attendance and adherence to plant procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
