Job summary

Copeland in Pune, India is seeking an Engineer Embedded Software Testing to join the hardware and software verification team. The role focuses on developing and executing tests for embedded software, including white-box testing, debugging, and test automation across HVAC systems.

You will collaborate with global engineering teams and support project milestones while building knowledge in cutting-edge climate technology solutions. A strong foundation in electronics and programming is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in embedded software testing.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics-related disciplines.
• Knowledge of UART/I2C/SPI; familiarity with wireless protocols (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, TCP/IP).
• Strong debugging and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• ISTQB Foundation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design positive and negative test scenarios and headers.
• Develop and execute test procedures and test cases.
• Create and run test scripts for test automation.
• Perform white-box testing where needed.
• Analyze and debug issues; assist in test optimization.
• Contribute to advanced test automation and knowledge sharing.
• Follow testing processes and meet project milestones.
• Assist in estimation and risk identification; collaborate with global teams.
