Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks an Electrical Design Engineer with 1–3 years in engineering design. You will design accessories and components for gas turbine power packages, maintain BOMs and drawings, and drive continuous improvements in electrical layouts.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure safety and compliance with NEC/ANSI/UL/CE, and contribute to design reviews and release processes. Knowledge of NX/AutoCAD/Eplan is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in Engineering design domain.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment; knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA/ANSI/UL/CE) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design accessories and components for Gas turbine power generation packages.
• Maintain products and options, standard BOMs and drawings.
• Develop new products and maintain standard designs and documentation.
• Evaluate and implement containment actions for NCR/SDR/RFI issues.
• Assess and validate corrective and preventive actions.
• Assess impact on inventory, WIP and built units.
• Update standard drawings, CAD models, BOMs and specifications with redline/blackline changes.
• Maintain metrics on containment cycle times, defect trends, and rework reduction.
• Perform analysis of cable sizing, interface placement, cable segregation and voltage drop.
• Support Design Reviews and the Engineering Release Process.
• Create One Line and Three Line Diagrams, Wiring/Schematic Diagrams, CAE lists and diagrams for electrical control panels, top boxes and terminal/junction boxes.
• Ensure functionality, safety and integrity of electrical designs and compliance with NEC, ANSI, UL/CSA and EN/CE.

Key Responsibilities

• Design accessories and components for Gas turbine power generation packages.
• Maintain products and options, standard bill of materials and drawings.
• Develop new products and maintain standard designs and documentation.
• Evaluate and execute containment actions for issues flagged via NCR/SDR/RFI
• Assess and validate corrective and preventive actions
• Assess impact on current inventory, WIP and built units.
• Revise and update standard engineering drawings, CAD models, Bill of materials and technical specifications (Creating redline/blackline markups and initiating formal engineering changes) once resolutions are validated.
• Maintain metrics on containment cycle times, defect trends and rework reduction to drive continuous improvement.
• Perform analysis of cable sizing, interface placement, cable segregation and voltage drop.
• Support Design Reviews and the Engineering Release Process.
• Develop One Line and Three Line Diagrams, Wiring / Schematic Diagrams, Cause and Effect Lists, Point to Point, Assembly Arrangements associated with Electrical Control Panels, Top Box Assemblies and Terminal Boxes/Junction Box and Cable, Battery Systems and the specification of associated equipment.
• Ensure functionality, safety and integrity of the electrical designs and compliance with appropriate codes and best design practices.
• Perform certification analysis to confirm components selection satisfy international and local code requirements, such as NEC, ANSI, UL/CSA and EN/CE.
