Job summary

Gradiant, a water solutions leader, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across WTP, WWTP, STP, ETP, and desalination projects. You will design electrical systems, review drawings, and ensure compliance with standards while coordinating with mechanical and process teams.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting procurement, and contributing to proposals and cost estimates, with site FAT involvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 3 to 7 years experience in electrical engineering for WTP/WWTP/STP/ETP/Desal projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, layouts, and power system load modeling.
  • Proficiency in equipment sizing, cable sizing, and system calculations.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical design and engineering activities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical system requirements for WTP/WWTP/STP/ETP/Desal projects.
  • Develop, review, and approve electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct technical reviews, analysis, and compliance assessments against industry standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff, fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and process engineering teams for integrated system design.
  • Prepare electrical deliverables including single line diagrams, layouts, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Perform equipment sizing (transformers, cables, earthing, lighting) and routing.
  • Support procurement activities: prepare technical specifications, evaluate bids, and select equipment.
  • Participate in project meetings, risk assessments, and client/vendor coordination.
  • Provide site support, including visits and FAT for electrical items.
  • Assist in project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules related to electrical scope.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Master's degree preferred

Seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership across water treatment (WTP), wastewater treatment (WWTP), sewage treatment (STP), effluent treatment (ETP), and desalination projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in electrical systems design, compliance, and project execution, ensuring seamless integration with other engineering disciplines.
