Job summary

Target in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer focused on Developer Productivity and DevEx to build, maintain, and secure a greenfield software delivery platform. You will support macOS and Linux environments and help create an intelligent, governed software supply chain within a global enterprise.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to deploy automated guardrails, telemetry pipelines, and tooling that improves developer experience. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in related roles are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience, with exposure to Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, or Developer Experience roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for infrastructure and tooling, such as Golang or Python.
• Foundational understanding of macOS and Linux operating system environments, alongside experience using multi-language package management systems such as Homebrew, pip, and npm.
• Exposure to data engineering concepts, including writing queries or handling data schemas for platforms like Snowflake, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• Basic understanding of Software Supply Chain Security concepts such as dependency vulnerability management and package patching.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality visibility and tools for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a unified, greenfield software delivery platform with a reviewed Golden Path for software consumption.
• Improve tooling ergonomics with ergonomic interfaces and CLI tools.
