Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a hands-on Engineer to drive data acquisition and analysis for automotive and farm equipment tests in Chennai. The role requires DAQ experience, fatigue analysis, and strong collaboration across teams to resolve field failures.

You will work with tools like Simcenter SCADAS, HBM eDAQ, and nCode Glyphworks, contributing to test procedure development and data-driven decisions. BE/B.Tech required, 2–5 years of related work.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on testing experience in automotive/farm equipment.
• Experience with DAQ systems and field/lab data capture.
• Knowledge of fatigue life estimation (S-N, E-N) and vibration analysis.
• Effective communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data capture in test tracks and field locations.
• Analyze field and lab data to identify trends and issues.
• Perform fatigue and vibration analyses using nCode Glyphworks and FFT/PSD.
• Coordinate with teams to address failure concerns and drive DAQ improvements.
• Develop and release new test procedures and standards.

• Road Load Data Acquisition
• Hands on experience in measuring strain, acceleration, temperature, GPS signals, brake pressure etc by using Simcenter SCADAS, HBM eDAQ, Vector CAN loggers, Binsfield Telemetry and other DAQsystems.
• Experience in working on WFT (Wheel Force Transducer)
• Duty cycle Generation (TAL)
• Understand use cases and create events to capture data
• Fatigue life estimation by S-N, E-N method and Vibration analysis by FFT, PSD, FRE Waterfall analysis with nCode Glyphworks, IMC Famos.
• DAQ in Test tracks / Field failure locations.
• CFT Meetings:Lead discussions to address failure concerns and makke decision for DAQ.
