Job summary

Gradiant India Private Limited in Coimbatore invites a talented Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. You will contribute to the design and analysis of steel and reinforced concrete structures for complex water and wastewater projects across international offices.

The role requires hands-on experience with STAAD.Pro and RFEM, and strong coordination across disciplines. You will support procurement, fabrication, and site activities, and participate in design reviews and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an added advantage.
• 5–12 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete structures for Water & Wastewater projects.
• Exposure to EPC, FEED, Detailed Engineering and Brownfield projects.
• Familiarity with modularization and skid-mounted systems.
• Project planning/management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures, including pipe racks, skids, equipment supports, platforms, and buildings.
• Develop design calculations, reports, specifications, and material take-offs (MTOs).
• Design for static, dynamic, wind, seismic, transportation, lifting, erection, and operational loads.
• Evaluate foundation loads and prepare loading diagrams.
• Perform connection design and ensure constructability requirements are met.
• Prepare, review, and approve structural deliverables and drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, drafting, BIM, and project teams across disciplines and offices.
• Review 3D models and Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
• Support procurement, fabrication, construction, and site execution activities.
• Manage assigned engineering work and ensure timely delivery.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team and support the delivery of complex Water projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures, preparation of design basis reports, multidisciplinary coordination, and execution of engineering deliverables throughout Detailed Engineering phases.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging EPC projects in a collaborative, international engineering environment.

Reponsibilities

• Perform analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures, including pipe racks, skids,equipment supports, platforms, industrial buildings, and miscellaneous structures.
• Develop structural design calculations, reports, specifications, and material take-offs (MTOs).
• Design for static, dynamic, wind, seismic, transportation, lifting, erection, and operational loads.
• Evaluate foundation loads and prepare loading diagram.
• Perform connection design and ensure constructability requirements are incorporated.
• Prepare, review, and approve structural engineering deliverables and drawings.
• Work effectively in cross-functional and international teams, ensuring strong collaboration and communication across disciplines and global offices
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards.
• Review 3D models and Navisworks for clash detection, constructability, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, drafting, BIM, and project teams for quality and timely delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
• Design Support for procurement, fabrication, construction, and site execution activities.
• Manage assigned engineering work, monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and meet project schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage
• Software Skills: STAAD.Pro, RFEM
• 5 to 12 years of relevant structural engineering experience
• Proven experience in steel and reinforced concrete structure design for Water & Wastewater Treatment projects
• Experience in EPC, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Brownfield projects
• Familiarity with modularization and skid-mounted systems
• Exposure to project planning and project management activities is desirable
