Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, and to contribute to ML solutions on Snapdragon platforms.

You will work with cross-functional teams including hardware, architecture, and test engineers to deliver high-performance C/C++ software, with emphasis on deploying SNPE SDK and optimizing for on-device inference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/ Master's/ PhD in relevant field with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Alternatively, Master's with 1+ year experience or PhD.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize ML solutions like SNPE SDK on Qualcomm SoCs.
• Develop various SW features in the ML stack.

About the team

Join the growing team at Qualcomm focused on advancing state-of-the-art in Machine Learning. The team uses Qualcomm chips’ extensive heterogeneous computing capabilities to allow inference of trained neural networks on-device without a need for connection to the cloud. Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the development and commercialization of ML solutions like Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) SDK on Qualcomm SoCs. You will be developing various SW features in our ML stack. You will be enabling AI/ML solutions to various platforms. You will have expert knowledge in deployment aspects of large software C/C++ dependency stacks using best practices. You will also have to keep up with the fast-paced development happening in the industry and academia to continuously enhance our solution from software engineering as well as machine learning standpoint.

Work Experience

• 3-7 years of relevant work experience in software development.
• Live and breathe quality software development with excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Strong understanding about Processor architecture, system design fundamentals.
• Experience with embedded systems development or equivalent.
• Strong development skills in C and C++.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
• Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in embedded system development.
• Experience in C, C++, OOPS and Design patterns.
• Experience in Linux kernel or driver development is a plus.
• Strong OS concepts.
