Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain Driveworks Pro projects including forms, rules, macros, and workflows
- Automate SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings using Driveworks
- Create data‑driven design automation solutions aligned with engineering standards
- Develop user‑friendly input forms with validation logic for product configuration
- Generate automated outputs such as CAD models, drawings, and documents (PDF, DXF, STEP)
- Support integration of Driveworks with SolidWorks PDM/PLM and external databases (SQL)
- Support PLM system initiatives, including implementation, enhancement, and integration with engineering and automation tools
- Assist in implementing workflow automation (approvals, task flows, state transitions)
- Support Driveworks Live (Web Configurator) deployment and enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rules, workflows, and configurations
- Optimize performance of Driveworks projects for efficiency and scalability
- Maintain version control and release practices for automation projects
- Work closely with design engineers and cross‑functional teams to understand product requirements
- Support standardization and reuse of CAD components and automation logic
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation efficiency
- Provide basic user support and training to internal stakeholders
- Exposure to ERP/CRM integration and data exchange
- Collaboration with IT teams on deployment, IIS setup, and system upgrades
- Participation in multi‑user and enterprise‑level automation implementations

Education
B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in engineering design processes
- Strong hands‑on experience with DriveWorks Pro for design automation
- Experience in SolidWorks part modeling, assemblies, and drawings
- Proven experience in creating automated workflows, rules, and forms using DriveWorks
- Exposure to product configuration, CAD standardization, and Knowledge‑Based Engineering (KBE)
- Experience in supporting product customization and engineering automation projects
Mandatory Skills
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings)
- Expertise in DriveWorks, including rule creation, form design, and workflow configuration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong scripting, logic development, and automation handling skills
- Working knowledge of C#, VB.NET, VBA, Excel Macros, or other scripting/programming languages
- Basic to intermediate experience with SQL Server and database management techniques
- Familiarity with XAML, WinForms, and WPF using MVVM architecture
- Exposure to Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and API‑based customization
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platforms
- Working knowledge of SAP, PDM, PLM tools, and IIS (Internet Information Services)
