Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited invites engineers to join the Generative AI team focused on integrating GenAI models on Snapdragon platforms. You will port and optimize the ML stack for on-device inference across CPU/GPU/NPU, enabling power-efficient performance for diverse AI workloads.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's or higher in CS/engineering and have 1–2 years of software development experience with C/C++ and ML basics; strong collaboration across a global team is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience OR Master's degree and 1+ year OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Foundational knowledge of deep learning and familiarity with neural networks; strong C/C++ development skills; good analytical and debugging abilities.
• Good communication skills (verbal, presentation, written) and ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Development and commercialization of ML solutions like SNPE SDK on Qualcomm SoCs.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the development and commercialization of ML solutions like Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) SDK on Qualcomm SoCs. You will be developing various SW features in our ML stack. You would be porting AI/ML solutions to various platforms and optimize the performance on multiple hardware accelerators (like CPU/GPU/NPU). You will have expert knowledge in deployment aspects of large software C/C++ dependency stacks using best practices. You will also have to keep up with the fast-paced development happening in the industry and academia to continuously enhance our solution from software engineering as well as machine learning standpoint.

Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent. 1-2 years of relevant work experience in software development.

Bases of Deep-learning and familiarity with neural network operators. Strong development skills in C and C++. Excellent analytical and debugging skills.

Good communication skills (verbal, presentation, written). Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of object-oriented software development.
• Knowledge of Processor architecture and system design fundamentals.
• Experience with optimizing algorithms for AI hardware accelerators (like CPU/GPU/NPU).
• Background in mathematical operations: linear algebra, fast-math libraries.
• Floating-point, Fixed-point representations and Quantization concepts.
• Knowledge of parallel computing systems and associated languages like OpenCL, CUDA, etc. is a plus.

Level of Responsibility

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
