Job summary

Sebone Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Endur Developer to join our energy trading programme. You will contribute to a Greenfield, Cloud hosted Endur implementation from design through build to deployment, collaborating with business SMEs to shape the ETRM solution.

You will work with a skilled team to apply best practices, enhance end-to-end trading lifecycle coverage, and broaden expertise across energy markets and Endur tooling.

Qualifications

• End-to-end project lifecycle delivery in trading/ETRM context.
• Experience with energy trading markets and European gas.
• Endur experience or similar ETRM systems desirable.
• Strong Java development and unit testing background.
• Experience delivering in Agile environments.
• 2–15 years of development experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development lead and stakeholders to deliver Endur solutions from scoping through design, build and test.
• Develop solutions through effective coding in Endur and related tooling.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
• Design and develop based on functional requirements gathered from business analysts.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress clearly.

Endur Developer - Energy Trading

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced energy trading Developer looking to expand their knowledge and be part of a strategic programme that will revolutionise the business. Whether you have worked with Endur or are looking to broaden your skill set, this is a great step for you and your career.

You will be working on a Greenfield, Cloud hosted Endur implementation, playing a key role in delivery from design through build to implementation and beyond.

You will be bringing your expertise to the team, working hand-in-hand with dedicated business SME s to drive the requirements and design for client s strategic ETRM solution. Through a combination of focused Endur training and working with existing specialists you ll have an opportunity to build your knowledge in this leading ETRM system.

As a Developer, you will work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals, who have come together to pool collective decades of knowledge from multiple Endur implementations to rewrite the book on best practice, which is at the heart of what we do.

Not only this, but the expansive reach of this programme will give individuals the opportunity to build the depth of their end-to-end trading life cycle experience and expand their knowledge into new commodities.

The Role/Responsibilities

You will be working with the Development lead and business and IT stakeholders to fulfill the Developer role over the full project life cycle, from scoping/requirements gathering through working with BAs and testers to running user acceptance testing. As an Endur Developer you will be responsible to develop solutions through effective coding in the system.

Your role will vary depending on the specific area of expertise, however typical you would perform the following day to day activities:

• Ability to formulate design and development based on functional requirements and requirements gathering from business analysts.
• Experience working on business-critical applications in a production setting with the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve critical issues.
• Coaching and mentoring of the junior members of the Development team.
• Generating innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities.
• Stakeholder management - building relationships with key stakeholders, keeping them informed and managing expectations.

What you will bring

Developer - Essential

• Track record of end-to-end project lifecycle delivery.
• Having Programme skill sets in Core Java.
• Good understanding of Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, Junit Test-Driven Development.
• Good knowledge of SQLs.
• Understanding of Azure Cloud CI/CD with GitHub is a Plus.
• Worked on developing solutions for business problems.
• Experience in building E2E solutions and user acceptance testing.
• Demonstratable stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile project delivery.
• 2 - 15 Years of Experience in Development.

Energy Trading Experience - Essential

• Experience of energy trading markets, with a strong understanding of European Gas, including gas networks, balancing, scheduling, capacity, transportation, pricing, position, PL and exposure management.
• A working knowledge of different trading instruments, including:
  • OTC transactions - Including forwards, storage, swing deals, swaps, and simple options.
  • Exchange traded futures options lifecycle including cascading.

ETRM/CTRM Experience - Desirable

• The ideal candidate will have ETRM/CTRM experience, but this is not essential if you have strong experience in another area of energy trading applications.
• Endur skills are considered an advantage, however this is not essential as this Programme will provide a fantastic opportunity to build or grow skills in this area.
• Having experience in Endur plugin development in JVS (Java Scripting - Open Link Endur) OC (Open Components).
